A native of Florida, Justin was born and raised in the Melbourne area, where he studied under Metropolitan Opera singer Mark Baker until his relocation to Jacksonville, where he studies with James Hall at the University of North Florida while pursuing his degrees in Music Education and Music Performance. Justin also maintains a successful private teaching studio in the Jacksonville area, where he teaches voice, guitar, and piano.

As a composer, Justin Walker writes for ensembles of all combinations, including choirs, orchestras, small chamber ensembles, and soloists (such as in his most recent work, “At the Gallows”, for organ). Combining heavy-metal experience, classical training, and an admiration for Celtic and Appalachian folk music, Justin has created a unique blend of styles that shines through in all of his compositions.
