Justin Walker is a professional performer, composer, and educator based in Louisville, Kentucky. Justin received his Bachelor of Music Performance in Voice from the University of North Florida and his Master of Music in Choral Conducting at the University of Louisville. He has performed alongside the Louisville Chamber Choir, Louisville Orchestra, Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, and Brevard Symphony Orchestra, and has toured internationally with the prestigious University of Louisville Cardinal Singers under the direction of Dr. Kent Hatteberg. Justin’s conducting experience includes performances with the University of Louisville Collegiate Chorale and University Chorus, as well as the University of North Florida Chamber Singers and Osprey Men’s Chorus.
Currently, Justin maintains a private studio where he teaches voice, guitar, and piano to students of all ages. He also composes for choral ensembles, synthesizing his love for Renaissance Italian madrigals with progressive rock and metal to create an interesting, exciting sound seldom heard in choral repertoire. His music has been performed most notably by the University of North Florida Chamber Singers and Osprey Men’s Chorus. Justin is professionally affiliated with the College Music Society, the American Choral Directors Association, and Chorus America.
